You will work with a team of Computer Vision Engineers in developing market-leading perception and obstacle detection systems for autonomous mining equipment. 

 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing algorithms to process exteroceptive sensor inputs and classification of sensed objects.
  • Evaluating sensors such as radar, LiDar, and cameras to strive for continuous improvement in our perception stack.
  • Developing embedded software communication protocols using UDP, CAN, Serial, Multithreading, and Real-Time Systems.
  • Developing software modules in C/C++ and Python
  • Working with Robot Operating Systems (ROS/ROS2)
  • Managing Agile development processes for the Mining Perception Development Team including daily standups, retrospectives, and planning.

 

Required:

  • Experience with C/C++ and Python 
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

 

Preferred Experience:

Masters or Ph.D in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline

Previously leading a team of developers

Experience with Robot Operating System (ROS/ROS2)

Experience with processing exteroceptive sensor data
